Maren's first months

It's been almost 2 months since Maren was born.

Here are some pics of her first days at home.

She eats all the time and is already outgrowing her 0-3 moths clothes. She is much bigger and louder than Amina. And she already rolls over on her own. Sometimes when she is really angry she cries so hard it seems she is going to pass out. I'm a bit worried because she reminds me of a certain sibling of mine. Let's just say her nickname is Lil'H.

Another interesting thing: Maren has blue eyes. Apparently they may change later, but for now it is unexpected.

Cumpleaños

Back in September Amina had her 4th birthday. She had a rather complicated request for her cake theme, but we did our best to accomodate (see pictures). Abu came and we invited about 10 friends to the pool. It was the last day the pool was open and the water was very cold, but the kids didn't seem to mind.

I added a couple of pics from another pool day. During the summer we spent a lot of time in the neighborhood pool. I was Amina's swimming instructor. There was lots of crying but by mid July Amina could swim a good 8 feet and fetch rings with her hands from the bottom of the pool (in the 3 foot deep part).
